Removing a duplicated patient profile (patient registered again by mistake)

A patient registered for a second time by mistake duplicating their profile? No problem! We can handle it

Sometimes a patient might register twice mistakenly, creating a duplicated profile, which is a problem for our record keeping.

Whatever the reason for their mistake may be, if you detect that there's two different MRN's for the same patient, please submit a ticket. You must first check that there isn't any personal or medical information in the duplicated profile that could be lost.

The duplicated profile will likely show as "Incomplete" in most cases, but please be aware that those can also show as "to clear" or even in "cleared" status. We will always keep the profile that has the medical information in record (history of service visits) and delete the one that doesn't have any.

This is what an "incomplete" profile looks like:

Usually the contact information, medical or skin profile are incomplete and the patient is missing a GFE clearance because the mistake is detected by the provider right away and no GFE is processed for the duplicated profile.
