[12/13/2024] Square transactions untied to checkouts

We have recently discovered a latency issue with Square where some transactions are timing out. If this happens to you, please add the card on file and use the "Charge card on file" option at the checkout instead of "Charge with Square", this will avoid you running into the problem for that checkout.

Square is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it on their end. This is an intermittent issue that is likely not impacting you. However, if it is please use the 'Card on File' workaround.


12/20/2024 - The Square issue causing for some POS transactions to not tie to the EHR checkout, causing it to show as unpaid when it is actually paid, currently remains unresolved. We are in communication daily with Square's technical team receiving status updates from them.

Our Tech team is tying the transactions in the back end manually to ensure your inventory isn't off for so long and that your Earnings start to reflect correctly.
Rest assured, all transactions will be tied before the end of the month to ensure you are not affected in any way in terms of inventory and earnings tracking.


12/23/2024 - As we continue to work on solving the root cause, the tech team has started to manually tie the transactions to their corresponding checkouts to ensure that the inventory count becomes synchronized and that the earnings start to show correctly in your EHR Earnings view.


01/02/2025 - As we continue to collaborate with Square to address the API bug that has caused some checkouts to remain untied to their corresponding transactions.
We have already tied all the transactions from December until 12/31 to their corresponding checkouts, in order to not have any discrepancies in your inventory and for the earnings to be properly recorded.


01/09/2025 - The root cause of untied transaction unfortunately remains unresolved, we continue to collaborate with Square to find a solution, we have tied all the transactions dated 01/01/25 to 01/08/25.


01/16/2025 - The root cause of untied transaction unfortunately remains unresolved, we continue to collaborate with Square to find a solution, we have tied all the transactions dated 01/09/25 to 01/15/25.


01/21/2025 - Since Square has not provided a concrete permanent solution yet and we continue to have to tie the transactions manually, we are moving towards a daily process of tying the transactions from the previous day. We have tied all transactions from 01/16/25 to 01/19/25. 


01/22/2025 - We have tied all transactions from 01/20/25 to 01/21/25, we will continue on a daily basis to tie the transactions from each previous day.
