Gift Card - Square process

You may sell Square Gift Cards to be redeemed for services at your practice. The options are:
  1. eGift cards can be sold by sending out this link to the client: https://squareup.com/gift/PA2MWNW9MCJZ2/order 
    It's a self serve method where the client fills out the payment information and the email address of the person receiving the gift.
  2. You may also sell physical gift cards, you must follow these instructions to do so: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5393-order-your-square-gift-cards

 

When does the provider receive their commissions for the amount sold?

When the patient comes in and uses the gift card to pay for a treatment, this sale gets recorded in that checkout and that's when the transaction is shown in the provider's Earnings report. So the commissions will be paid out at the end of the month in which a treatment was provided and paid for with that gift card.


 

What to do if a customer lost the email with the eGift card?

You may submit a ticket asking the Support team to look up the gift card by providing the following details:


- The date the gift card was purchased

-  The email address of the receipient

The support team will locate the gift card and re-send the email with the eGift card to the receipient.
