# Discuss Retail Skincare Prices with Patients

## Here's a helpful way to talk to patients when they think they find lower prices for skincare products online.

**If a patient contacts you saying they found a cheaper price for a skincare product elsewhere, it's important to note that our retail floor prices already include tax.**

Let's take TNS (SkinMedica) as an example, with a floor price of $318.60. If a patient mentions that SkinMedica online is $295, it's because that price excludes tax. However, the total amount will be the same once you factor in the tax.

\*Pro-tip: always advise the patient to check prices online **with tax!\***
